Al-Raqqa Civil Council opened public municipality in al-Karama

AIN ISSA– Al-Raqqa Civil Council  has opened the Public municipality in al-Karama town  during a ceremony held by the attendance of a number of delegations and the town’s people.EN ISA-KARE-MECLISA-REQQA-YA-SIVIL (1)

The ceremony was held in front of the municipality building in the center of the town, and hundreds of people from al-Karama, the co-chair of the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council Leila Hassen, the member of the Relations Office of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Assaf al-Bashir and the head of the Municipalities Body in al-Jazeer region Joseph Lahdou in addition to the head of Art and Culture Committee of al-Raqqa Civil Council Jalaa Hamzawy, and the administrations of Kobanî’s municipalities attended the ceremony.

The opening ceremony have started with holding a minute of silence followed by number of speeches delivered by Jalaa Hamzawy in the name of  al-Raqqa Civil Council,  Joseph Lahdou in the name of the Municipalities Body in al-Jazeera region, and the co-chair of Deir ez-Zor Civil Council Leila Hassen in addition to the co-chair of Martyrs’ Families Institution Sharifah Hussein.

The words have  begun congratulating the residents on the opening of the municipality, and they assured on their support to them.

Jalaa Hamzawy in the name of al-Raqqa Civil Council said that they continue clearing al-Raqqa city of mines, and they help the people and serve them. Jalaa added that the public municipality in al-Karama will work in the next few days on the maintenance of invalid electricity grids and sewage extenctions, in addition to cleaning the town services and all the tasks which they would be responsible for.

After the words finished, the opening band was cut by the family of the martyr Dalil Aziz who martyred during al-Raqqa liberation campaign.

The opening ceremony concludes by dancing in rings with the popular songs.

It is noteworthy that al Karama’s municipality would start working with a staff includes 48 employees and workers temporarily.
