KOBANÎ- Nisrin Abdullah the member of the preparatory committee of Women and Protection Forum, 11 women forces in the Middle East invited to the forum could not take part in due to the siege imposed on the region and the poor security conditions in Syria noting that they will be despite that joining the forum via Skype.
The YPJ spokesperson and member of the preparatory committee of Women and Protection Forum held in Kobanî canton Nisrin Abdullah told ANHA that they have sent 27 invitations to 27 women forces in the Middle East, and said” due to the siege imposed on the region, and blockade neighboring states impose on Rojava, 11 women forces could not join the forum, in addition, Syrian crisis and deteriorating security conditions prevented them from attending the forum”.
Abdullah explained that 16 women forces out of 27 could not attend the forum, some are Rojhilat Women Protection Units, Women Protection Forces in Başûr Kurdistan(HPJ).
Nisrin Abudullah also noted that some absent forces will be participating via Skype service, and some messages will be read including Amazigah’s.
Nisrin concluded saying that the powers invited had a positive attitude and perspective of the forum which is uniting women and enhancing their capability in findng solutions for women issues and problems of the Middle East.
The events of the Women and Protection Forum in its 2nd day are ongoing; the attendees will be discussing in the 3rd session the necessity of solidifying the perspective of legal defense.
