ALEPPO – Heyva Sor a Kurd (Kurdish Red Crescent) staff in Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud district have called on the United Nations and international aid organizations to provide urgent aid for families which have been displaced to Sheikh Maqsoud from eastern Aleppo districts.
Staff of the Şehîd Xalid Fecir health centre run by Heyva Sor a Kurd on Monday made a press release in relation to the families which have migrated to Sheikh Maqsoud from eastern Aleppo districts.
The statement which was made in front of the health centre was read by Dr. Mihemed Silêman.
The statement calling for urgent humanitarian aid said:
“Families from eastern Aleppo have went through hard times due to the lack of food, health materials and because gangs were using the families as human shields. Due to these living conditions and the issue of life safety, families have had to leave their homes and come to Sheikh Maqsoud.
We request international humanitarian organizations to provide [the families] with health materials, medical aid and to take into account the hardships that have been faced by the migrants.”
