AFRIN – The Health Council in Bulbul district, in cooperation with the Kurdish Red Crescent Society, saved 21 civilians injured by Turkish shelling. The Council also treated 2,300 cases in the district since the start of the Turkish attacks on Afrin.
The health council in Bulbul district, in cooperation with the Kurdish Red Crescent, opened two medical points in the district since the attacks of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries on 20 January in Afrin to provide treatment for civilians and receive emergency cases.
“The result of the barbaric bombardment of the Turkish occupation on towns and villages of Bulbul district, resulted to the closure of a number of pharmacies and medical clinics in the district,” said the co-chair of the Health Council in the Bulbul district, Majdolen Zeno.
Zino pointed out that they opened two medical points in cooperation with the Kurdish Red Crescent in the district to receive emergency cases and provide treatment to patients in the district’s villages, noting that they have received 25 cases of civilians injured by the Turkish occupation shelling on the district’s villages, and saved the lives of 21 of them, That four civilians were martyred as a result of severe injuries.
Zeno explained that the health council and the Kurdish Red Crescent Society have identified 2300 cases of disease in the district since the beginning of the Turkish attacks on the territory of the canton, adding that most of the cases we have received are shortness of breath and suffocation, especially in children because of the smoke produced by artillery shells and aircraft missiles ” .
The co-chair of the Health Council in Bulbul district Majdolen Zeno appealed to humanitarian organizations to provide medicines and send urgent humanitarian and medical assistance to Afrin canton.
