NEWS DESK- The High Electoral Commission disclosed the outcomes of the Local Administration’s elections of the second stage of the Democratic North-Syria Federation elections during a press conference.
After the High Commission for Elections in the three regions of al-Jazeera, the Euphrates and Afrin finished sorting the votes of the electors who voted for the elections of the Local Administration councils that are represented by towns, districts and cantons that were held on December 1, the High Commission for Elections disclosed on Tuesday these elections’ outcomes during a press conference.
A lot of media outlets attended the press conference that was held in Amuda district, and the statement was read by the co-chair of the High Commission for Elections in the Euphrates region Amina Hessi, and the co-chair of the High Commissions for Elections in al-Jazeera region Ez al-Din Ferhan with the attendance of the co-chair of the High Commission for Elections in al-Jazeera region Ruken Mullah Ibrahim and the co-chair of the High Commission for Elections in the Euphrates region Shahin al-Ali.

As all the North Syria components believed in the electoral process, and to consolidate the underpinnings of the Democratic North-Syria Federation as a solution for the Syrian crisis, the second stage of Democratic North-Syria Federation’s elections have been held on December 1 in the three regions, and they are the elections of the Local Administration councils that include the councils of towns, districts and cantons. In the first hours of Friday morning, December 1, the people headed towards the ballot boxes to vote for the elections without any problems mentioned.
The percentage of participation in these elections reached 69%.
In al-Jazeera region: the Democratic Nation list has got 2,718 seats of 2,902 candidates.
The Kurdish National Alliance list has got 40 seats of 99 candidates.
The number of the seats that the independents have got is 144 of 267 candidates.
While for the Euphrates region: the Democratic Nation list has got 847 of 954 candidates.
The Kurdish Democratic Unity Party list (Yekiti) in Syria has got 40 seats of 124 candidates.
The number of the independents’ seats is 67 of 95 candidates.
In Afrin region: the Democratic Nation list has got 1,056 seats of 1,175 candidates.
The list of the Kurdish Democratic Unity Party in Syria (Yekiti) has got 72 seat of 197 candidates.
While the list of the Syrian National Alliance has got 8 seats of 48 candidates.
The independents have got 40 seats of 86 candidates.
The High Commission for Elections thanked everybody contributed to the success of the electoral process, especially Education Body and everybody contributed to insuring protection for the centers and the area.
The High Commission for Elections also thanked all the media outlets that covered these elections.
All of the lists and independent candidates have the right to object for the elections outcomes during three days starting from Tuesday.
