“Isolation’s aim is to thwart Democratic Nation’s project”


AFRIN – A member of the Central Committee of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party (Conference), Ramzi Shekhmous, said that the Turkish state’s continued isolation of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocelan is to undermine the Democratic Nation’s project.

“The leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocelan, is the owner of free thinking and the Democratic Nation of the Middle East, that he put the solution of the crisis which the Syrian people had gone through” he said in an interview with Hawar news agency.

Shekhmous pointed out that the Turkish state claims that it is democratic, but it has nothing of democracy.

“If it was a democracy, it would allow the lawyer and the leader’s family to visit him in Imrali prison,” he said.

He also noted that a member of the Central Committee of the Conference Party, that Ocelan and to save peoples from civil wars and occupation projects put forward a lot of democratic projects, “But Justice and Development Party which is headed by Erdogan, imposed isolation of the Kurdish people’s leader in order to thwart these democratic projects, and the Democratic Nation’s project first of all which fails their occupation projects.

Ramzi Shekhmous expressed his concern over Ocelan’s life in light of the continued isolation imposed on him, appealing to Human Rights Organizations to pressure the Turkish authorities and reveal Ocelan’s state.
