AFRIN- Rojava Youth Union in Afrin canton in Afrin region is concluding the march at its 6th day successively by hundreds of the youth and people heading towards the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocelan’s picture hangs from the top of Gir Mountain in Bulbul district in Rajo area.
The march that was launched by Rojava Youth Union in Afrin canton in Afrin region on August 10 continues in the context of the campaign “the homeland is ours, revenge is our promise” condemning the isolation imposed on the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocelan and demanding his release.
Most of sewing workshops and stores’ owners closed their shops to join the youth and participated in the march.
On Tuesday morning, hundreds of the youth of Afrin and al-Shahba areas gathered at Kotana village square in Bulbul district in Rajo area in Afrin region holding the pictures of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocelan and banners with “the homeland is ours, revenge is our promise”.
The march started from Kotana village’s square, and the participants marched through the main streets and Qastal Maqdad village in Bulbul district chanting slogans that condemn the isolation imposed on the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocelan. Moreover, the march was accompanied by trumpet and drums’ tune.
During the march passing in Qastal Maqdad village, the people received the demonstrators by chants and sprinkling rice and flowers on them.
It supposed that the march would stop by the demonstrators heading towards Gir Mountain in Zaarah village as the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocelan’s picture hangs from the top of the mountain.
