Martyrs’ Wives Council in Deir ez-Zor formed

DEIR EZ-ZOR- The Martyrs’ Families Institution in Rojava-North Syria held a meeting for the martyrs’ wives in Deir ez-Zor area to organize them and provide them with support.

The meeting held in al-Jazeera town in Deir ez-Zor countryside with the participation of the administrative in the Martyrs’ Families Institution in Rojava Shervin Munzer, the Co-chair of the Legislative Council in Afrin canton Hevin Rashid, the co-chair of Deir ez-Zor Civil Council Leila al-Hassen, the two administratives in Women’s House in Deir ez-Zor Nuriya al-Hassen and Ruqiya Hesso, in addition to dozens of the martyrs’ wives in Deir ez-Zor.

The meeting started with holding a minute of silence in tribute to the martyrs’ souls. Then, Hevin Rashid delivered a speech and consoled the martyrs’ wives and all the peoples of North Syria at the beginning of her speech assuring, by virtue of those sacrifices, the peoples of the area have been liberated from the terrorism of the mercenary gangs, and Hevin stressed on the necessity to follow the footsteps of the martyrs and to strive at achieving their aims, in addition to preserving the gains that have been achieved by virtue of their sacrifices assuring that the great task is the responsibility of the martyrs’ families as they are the real owners of the revolution and victories.

The administrative in the Martyrs’ Families Institution in Rojava and North Syria Shervin Munzer talked and pointed out that it is necessary to form an organization for the martyrs’ wives to be able to serve themselves and the society, in addition to solving all their problems through it.

The door of candidacy was opened for the martyrs’ wives to form a council for them, and to elect administratives for it. After nomination and voting with raising hands, two administratives have been elected for the Martyrs’ Wives Council in Deir ez-Zor.

After that, discussions have started about the most important problems which the martyrs’ wives face, and some solutions have been suggested, in addition to putting a work program for the council to organize them and solve their problems.

Shervin noted in the end of the meeting that this meeting and the formation of the Martyrs’ Wives Council in Deir ez-Zor is a step for the martyrs’ wives in Deir ez-Zor to be able to select their representatives to participate in Martyrs’ Wives Conference in Rojava that is supposed to be held in the beginning of the next month.
