ALEPPO – As the groups tied to the Syrian National Coalition (SNC) carry out assaults on the Aleppo neighbourhood of Sheikh Maqsoud, civilians are targeted with heavy hand-made rockets.
According to reports, the SNC bombed the village of Kafr Hama, in northwest Aleppo, and the neighbourhood of Sheikh Maqsoud with so-called elephant rockets on Saturday morning.
Three civilians died and four civilians were wounded in the rocket attack on Sheikh Maqsoud.
The hand-made rockets, which are loaded with chemical substances, are named after the distinctive noise they make when launched.
The rockets, which were also used by the Syrian regime, were first used by Ahrar al-Sham in the region.
