NEWS CENTER – YPG (People’s Defense Units) Press Centre has released the balance sheet of war in Cizîre Canton of West Kurdistan, Rojava, for the month of March.
According to the balance sheet of war, YPG/YPJ fighters carried out 74 actions and operations and were involved in 55 clashes.
While 23 attacks, operational actions, contact and clashes with unverified outcomes took place, ISIS gangs carried out suicide attacks with bomb-laden vehicles twice.
61 fighters of the Defense Units lost their lives in the battle against ISIS in Cizîre in March during which 1342 members of gang groups were killed and 9 were captured alive.
23 vehicles, 2 antiaircraft guns, 2 bulldozers, 2 panzers, 5 motorcycles and a tractor belonging to the gang groups were destroyed in last month’s clashes.
Corpses of 202 ISIS militants killed in clashes, as well as large quantities of ammunition of the gangs were seized, including 334 Kalashnikov rifles and 32,800 bullets, in addition to 3 armored vehicles, 3 trucks, 3 tractors, an ambulance, 14 computers and 8 Grad missiles.
